Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book for the course?
All the course booking is available online.  Please visit the booking page of the website.  If you still have difficulty using it, please contact us to book for the course.

Do I need to bring my own equipment to the flying field?
No.  All RC DOJO training courses are conducted using RCDOJO’s training equipment.  Please visit the Training Equipment page of our website.

Where is the training location?
The training location is located in Al Lisaili.  The map of the training location is also available on our website.

What is the training schedule?
For Winter Months (Oct to April), training sessions are conducted from 8am to 12noon and 3pm to 6pm.  For Summer Months (May to Oct), training sessions are conducted from 7am to 9am and 4pm to 6.30pm.  The training days will be organised and confirmed after your booking is done.

What do I need to bring to the training location?
Sunglasses, a cap and some sunscreen lotion is a necessity.  As the sun can be quite hot in late mornings and early afternoons.

How do I pay for the course?
Either cash payment on the first day of your training or bank transfer prior to the training after signing up for the course.

How many flights do I get on a course?
It depends on the course that you have signed up for.  All the details are on the information page of the desired course.

How do I get to the training location?
By car. 

How long is one training session?
Each training session per student is conducted in a series of 3 – 4 flights on the flying field depending on weather and how busy the flying is during the day.  This would typically be approximately 2 – 3 hours long.

If the weather turns out to be unfavourable, how do we reschedule the training?
If you are already in the field and the weather turns bad, you can reschedule immediately with the instructor or reschedule your next session online on our website. You can check the weather on the RC Club page.

How many training planes or helicopters does RC DOJO have?
RC DOJO has many Electric and Nitro powered airplane trainers and Nitro powered helicopter trainers. You can find the list on our Training Equipment page.

How many students can RC DOJO train in 1 training session of the day?
 2 students per flight – 1 instructor 1 student.  On a morning session (during winter) we can accommodate up to 6 students in total per session.  During summer, we can accommodate up to 4 students in total per session.

If I am a family and wanting to do a group session, is this possible?
It is possible.  Please write to us 2 days beforehand or tell us after signing up for the course, so that we can arrange the course accordingly to suit the group.

Does RCDOJO operate in other premises in Dubai?
Currently no.
