A Forest1 viewsTadSae Waterfall is about a half hour drive from Luang Prabang, then a further 15 minute boat ride along a river to where the falls run into the waterway.
New Year's Day, 2006: My 2 friends and I spent the day at the falls. The falls' steppes gently flow down the side of a mountain and are easily climbable. So we climbed up to the top, where few tourists travel, found a cool waterhole and spent the hot afternoon swimming, eating and relaxing. This photo was taken as we were walking back to the boat.

Sea of Faces1 viewsAfter riding all day in the north of Laos, we come to a vilage to rest for the night. As it turns out, they have never had foreigners in the village before and we quickly turned into the main attraction.
The village is called Mook Jone, and houses about 100 or so people. Houses are built with stilts, there is no running water, no electricity. The river behind their village is their source for all their water, washing, bathing, cooking etc.
